Welcome to Fox Cattle Company

In 1999 I bought my first Texas Longhorn.  I was encouraged by that " Silver-Tongued Devil" himself, Bill Davidson.  My new heifer was to be an entry in the first Millennium Futurity.  Over the next few years I logged thousands of miles riding shotgun with Bill, hauling for G & G Longhorns.  I heard all the stories, met wonderful Longhorn folks, and educated my eye watching droves of cattle pass through sales rings.  I slowly started buying, then breeding, a little herd.  Along the way I've been honored to participate in every Futurity since it began.

Not even the craggiest old cowboy does this all alone.  Through the years some great cattlemen have helped me and allowed me to pick their brains.  Thanks to Bill, Ben Gravett, Corky Crumbaugh, Scott Hughes, Maurice Ladnier, Robert Richey, and so many others.  Rob Fenza and Jay Wachter are always there for me with their help.  Special thanks go to George and Martha Edwards for sharing their beautiful Tyddyn Glan Farm with my cows.  AND, none of this would be happening without Ann Perry, whose support is invaluable and whose eye for a cow is remarkable.

Come back often.  The coffee's always on and the beer is cold.

This Longhorn life of mine is inspired by, and dedicated to, the memory of Mel Raley.
